New permanent exhibition from 30th July, 2020

Master Joža Bertoncelj (1901–1976), artistic blacksmith from Kropa

With a new permanent exhibition, we paid tribute to the Slovenian master of modern iron design Joža Bertoncelj.

The exhibition features his most famous and representative works from the collection of the Iron Forging Museum, which marked the development of Slovenian artistic blacksmith craft. Selected wrought-iron creations express the master’s talent, wealth of ideas, creativity, inspiration and know-how. His works of art made of iron, copper and brass represent a cultural heritage of national importance and are the important legacy of Kropa’s blacksmithing heritage.

The project Our Industrial Heritage, Our Pride is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
